"It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting." - Paulo Coelho

Last night I picked up a book I had put down for a little while. I do that quite often; get very involved in a book and then put it down for a brief time, I always end up picking it up again at the perfect moment.CaptureThe book I'm currently reading is The Council of Light: Divine Transmissions for Manifesting the Deepest Desires of the Soul by Danielle Rama Hoffman.  I find a lot of spiritual books to be a bit too 'beginner' for my liking and often quite repetitive. Although I enjoy being reminded of the basics, this book is one of the few that has really pull me deeper in my practice.  Filled with incredibly valuable information, the entire book is Danielle channeling lessons and exercises from the Council of Light, all of which are insightful and touch on many aspects of life as a human.  I would highly recommend to those who are already familiar with the Law of Attraction and understand the powers of meditation and manifestation.  The book is a real blessing in my life.Last night while reading the book one of the exercises was to practice manifestation and really dig deeper into our desires. I immediately thought of the things that I would normally try to manifest... and that's when, for the first time in a long time, I grasped the magic behind the Law of Attraction.  I saw before me very clearly how everything I had been manifesting for the past year has come true... I felt an enormous wave of gratitude wash over me. Tears welled up in my eyes. I could feel it and I could see it; physical proof of all of the things I had wanted. Needless to say, instead of manifesting last night, I sat in gratitude and thanked Source for all of the blessings that have blossomed. That's when I really understood how important it is to spend time recognizing what HAS been manifested into your life. It's so easy to fall into a pattern of wanting more and more. In so many of Abraham's teachings, they discuss how GOOD it feels to manifest and how creating your reality is just as fun as having the desires materialize. I never truly understood that until yesterday. It is completely true that it feels SO good creating your reality that it can be easy to forget how good it is right in this moment. It feels so good envisioning all the good that is coming, that we don't even fully embrace it when it finally does arrive. It's like the work and energy it takes to make it happen is better than when it comes. I don't know how that works but it is true. There is no giant neon sign or confetti flying all over the room when your manifestations become reality. A genie does not appear to show you all that has materialized. Other people in your life probably won't even point things out to you. Nobody is here to remind you of how amazing and incredible all of these things are... nobody except you.tumblr_oc39rfHNqi1twigzco1_500The manifestations are often so subtle, so slow... life shifts in a way that you begin to enter doors you didn't even realize were doors at the time, until you look back and reflect. It is so important to take the time to recognize the good.  Shine a light on the amazing things that happen and spend time being thankful in the present moment for them instead of constantly chasing after MORE.The Law of Attraction is very real. I have learnt that time and time again in the past year. What I need to be mindful of is that often the manifestations occur in subtle ways that are no less as magnificent as huge gestures or surprises. It is key to recognize the good as it is occurring instead of looking back and realizing how incredible it was, only once it has passed by.
